Setup your organization

Employee fields

Username and Password
Required for secure login. Provides the basis for permissions and for audit logging.
Department
Employees are grouped by their Department in several places including navigation and reporting.
E-mail
E-mail account is used for Employee-triggered password reset.
Permissions
Each employee should have "modify TimeClock" permission. Supervisors and Department heads should be marked as such. Reporting turns on the ability to see the Reports. Payroll is reserved for one or more "payroll professionals."
Job Role
Provides the Job Title and the hourly Base Pay Rate.

Regular office use

The Schedule tab allows an Employee to build their own schedule. There are typically three ways to create TimeClock entries.

  • Add (one record)
  • Add from template
  • Copy from previous period

The Approve tab allows an Employee to lock their recently built schedule by Approving it. It can be unlocked (UnApproved) from the Schedule tab.

Supervisors and Department heads have the ability to Approve the TimeClock entries of the Employees that work for them. This can be done from either the Approve tab or the Supervisor tab.

Payroll professional

The payroll professional has access to a Home Tab. This provides a status overview of TimeClock entries and their approval state.

The payroll professional can Lock all of the TimeClock entries in previous payroll periods.

It is possible to export TimeClock data in a format that PayMate running on an AS/400 should be able to import. We are still working out the details of this in Vernon County.

Working together

We expect that your organization will designate one point person as a "payroll professional."

The payroll professional will be responsible for managing the user accounts in GoTimePlus. The payroll professional should be the first point of contact for employees that have questions or login problems.

Your $2 per active employee account per month subscription price for GoTimePlus includes training and technical support for the payroll professional. It does not include direct technical support for every employee in your organization.
